Your word journey
From sounds to super spellings
Start where you feel comfortable. Every lesson has five words, a little explanation and a chance to try from memory.
ship3 sounds. 4 letters. 1 word.
Ready for school
Your words. Your practice.
Learn your school list together, then try a practice test with the answers hidden until the end.
Saved lists
A little today. A little tomorrow.
Help your words stick
Missed words return first. Words you remember come back after a longer gap.
Ready for another look
“Remembered” means correct on three different UTC dates. It is a practice guide, not a school assessment. Reviews are scheduled after 1, 3 and 7 days.

For grown-ups: how the practice works
Use short, relaxed sessions. Say the word, listen for its sounds, connect those sounds with letters, and explain the spelling pattern. Later lessons explore base words, prefixes, suffixes and unexpected spellings. Children study the five examples before recalling them with the spelling hidden.
Practice gives feedback immediately and revisits missed words once. A school practice test saves feedback for the end. Try again on another day to strengthen recall. A completed lesson earns one star; copying and correction attempts do not count towards remembered words.
This is supplementary practice, not a complete phonics programme. Follow the order and pronunciations used at school. The examples use British English; accents vary.
